Rose Teague

Rose believes that life is full of both joys and challenges, and that individuals and families have the capacity to navigate each season with intention, resilience, and support. She works with children, teens, adults, and families, with a particular focus on those navigating the complexities of adoption and foster care. Rose offers in-person therapy at our Lakeside and Powhatan offices, creating a supportive space for connection and growth.

Rose provides adoption-competent care, with a strong understanding of the Core Issues of Adoption and the unique experiences of adoptees, adoptive parents, and foster families. Her work supports attachment, identity development, emotional regulation, and family relationships, while honoring each individual’s story and lived experience.

Using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, Rose integrates attachment-based therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy to help clients process challenges, shift unhelpful patterns, and build emotional resilience. Her work emphasizes strengthening family connections and supporting healing across the family system.

Rose is committed to creating an inclusive and culturally responsive therapeutic environment. She honors the diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds of her clients and maintains an LGBTQ+ affirming practice, ensuring that all individuals feel seen, heard, and respected.

Rose is a Supervisee in Social Work, practicing under the supervision of Meagan Valenti, LCSW, and Hannah Mason, LCSW. Her work is supported through ongoing supervision and consultation to ensure ethical, thoughtful, and high-quality care.
