I have fans?

It still gets me when someone knows about me, my work or my book. I recently was told I had a fan...

One of our fabulous therapists had told a parent of one of her clients about my book and they purchased it. It really spoke to him. This little guy has read it so much his mom said he almost knows it by heart!

I teared up after that meeting. Kids are often “seen and not heard“. Stories give a voice sometimes where we don’t have one. They let us know we aren’t the only one going through a tough time or struggling with something. To know my story spoke to him and has helped him in some way warms my heart in so many ways I can’t even describe. Kids need to be heard and understood.

Listen to Kids

They have so much to say and too often they are not heard. It’s not hard, takes little skill or time. As parents we work hard at teaching our kids, trying to do the right thing. Often it’s not that complicated. Just listen.
