Quote:

“Therapy can be a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with who you are—without judgment or pressure to be perfect.”

Callie offers a calm, supportive space for teens, adults, and parents who feel weighed down by negative thought patterns, self-doubt, or questions about identity and relationships. She works especially well with clients who are trying to better understand who they are, how they relate to others, and how to stay true to themselves while navigating life’s demands. Callie provides in-person therapy at our Lakeside and Powhatan offices, and also offers telehealth for clients when appropriate.

She believes therapy is a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself without judgment. Callie approaches her work with warmth, patience, and respect for each client’s pace. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” she helps clients gently explore how their thoughts, emotions, and lived experiences have shaped them—and how small, intentional shifts can support meaningful change.

Callie values effort over perfection and supports clients in defining goals that feel realistic and personal. Her aim is to create a space where clients feel encouraged to take ownership of their growth while also receiving compassion and understanding along the way. Clients often experience her as grounding, thoughtful, and steady.

In addition to her counseling training, Callie brings a strong mind–body perspective to her work. She has experience as a group fitness instructor and holds certifications in yoga and meditation, which inform her understanding of the connection between physical awareness, emotional regulation, and mental health. When appropriate, she may integrate mindfulness or body-based awareness into sessions to support balance and well-being.

Callie is a Clinician in Training, completing her graduate education and practicing under the supervision of Missy McKissick, LPC. Her work is supported by regular supervision and consultation to ensure ethical, attentive, and high-quality care. She is completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Lindsey Wilson College.
