I’m Callie Conway, a therapy intern at Heart & Mind Therapy. I offer a calm, supportive space for children, teens, adults, parents, and families. I enjoy working with clients who are navigating identity, relationships, and self-worth—especially those who feel stuck in negative thought patterns or are trying to make sense of who they are and how they relate to others.

I believe therapy is a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself without judgment. I approach my work with warmth, patience, and respect for each client’s pace. Rather than focusing on what’s “wrong,” I help clients gently explore how their thoughts, emotions, and experiences have shaped them—and how small, intentional shifts can support meaningful change.

I value effort over perfection and support clients as they define goals that feel realistic and personal to them. My aim is to create a space where clients feel encouraged to take ownership of their growth while also receiving compassion and understanding along the way.

Clients often experience me as grounding, thoughtful, and steady. My work emphasizes self-awareness, authenticity, and learning to relate to thoughts and emotions in ways that feel supportive rather than overwhelming.

In addition to my counseling training, I bring a strong mind–body perspective to my work. I have experience as a group fitness instructor and hold certifications in yoga and meditation, which inform my understanding of the connection between physical awareness, emotional regulation, and mental health. When appropriate, I may integrate mindfulness or body-based awareness into sessions to support balance and well-being.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy jogging and staying active, reflecting my belief in movement as a supportive tool for mental and emotional health.

Education, Training & Supervision

I’m currently completing my graduate training and work as a therapy intern at Heart & Mind Therapy under the supervision of Missy McKissick, LPC. My work is supported through regular supervision and consultation to ensure ethical, attentive, and high-quality care.

I’m completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Lindsey Wilson College and hold certifications in yoga, meditation, and group fitness instruction.
